July 2015: Swan Lake
I've spent many many hours down at this lake, watching grebes, watching kingfishers but the swans have always passed by without a look or consideration.. On a sunny summer morning i asked myself why, i really had no answer..
I watched as they preened and i saw a different beauty, maybe i was paying some attention this time but the light was nice and not to much wind that the water was heavily rippled, i felt that i could capture the beauty that i saw.
I underexposed by over 3 stops to throw the background into darkness for all images except the last. This was unexpected so it was a simple case of change a few settings and hope for the best, underexposing by 1 stop gave somewhat of the desired result.
